Welcoming the New Team

A
BIG thank you to everyone who submitted for the DT call. It was the toughest call of all and we all appreciate your effort.

I would also like to take this opportunity to thank the previous Design Team. They have all been wonderful to work with and I'll cherish not only their talents but their friendship and support!

Please welcome the new members of our family and get to know us a little! Click on each designer's photo to visit their blog.

Hello! My name is Iwona Palamountain, but I'm also known as Chupa in the blogging world. I've been married to the most wonderful man for over a year now, and we've got the cutest three month old daughter. My card-making adventure started six months ago, and it quickly became a true passion, addiction, and finally my business. My motto is that a day without stamping is a day undone, and I'm trying to stick to this rule :) I'm looking forward to the new amazing experience that joining the Card Patterns DT offers! Thank you CP, and big congrats to the rest of the "newbies"!

Hi everyone! I am honored to be a designer for Card Patterns. Isn't it wonderful to have a sketch to follow?.... Eliminates the stress of designing a card, and therefore really speeds up te process for me. It usually takes me at least 3-4 hours to complete a card!!! I work as a nurse on a casual basis, on the Maternity floor of our local hospital here in beautiful Muskoka, Ontario. My husband of 20 years and 17 year old daughter are forced to tolerate my addiction and lack of dining room table to eat off. I have been scrapbooking for four years and cardmaking for one.

I am thrilled to be part of the Card Patterns Design Team. I am from a small town on the Guadalupe River here just north of San Antonio, Texas. I am a wife, mother to 4, step-mother to 2, grandmother to 11, as well as head of Trauma Case Management in a level 1 Trauma Center in South Texas. My daughter got me started in scrapbooking about 10 years ago and I've been hooked ever since.

I have been published in Memory Makers Baby Book, Scrapbook Trends, Cards, Cardmakers, Scrapbook & Cards Today, Scrapbook News and Review and Cards for Heros. I am a member of the DT for I Am A Scrapaholic and Core'dinations. I recently discovered Copic Markers and have quickly become addicted to stamping and digital images. I got into card making about a year and a half ago and think I have found my nitch. I also am an exercise addict and work out daily. I have always been involved in crafts and also keep up with making baby blankets for all the doctors and nurses I work with and in a hospital as large as ours it keeps me busy. I love doing sketches and have been hanging around here at Card Patterns for awhile enjoying all the awesome sketches they keep posting. I look forward to working with the Design Team and checking out all the blog that submit cards to their sketches.

Hi! I’m Julia Stainton from Ontario Canada. I love scrapbooking and card making and have been crafting in some manner, all my life. My life is busy with five children, my hubby and our new puppy. My style varies from clean and crisp to vintage and collage and it is unique. I love combining papers and embellishments and create both image and non-image based designs. At the present, I am a reporter for CraftCritique.com and also design digital Printables for Every Thing Creative. I also design for Ellen Hutson LLC.

My name is Lizaveta. I`m 27 years old and I live in Russia in Moskow. I`m married and we have a daughter named Margo who is a year and a half. I love to experiment with all of the wonderful crafting and scrapping products in the market.

Greetings from Singapore! I love to make stuff, especially using unexpected "found" stuff around my house (or someone else's!). I started making cards in March 2009 in an effort to be a little "green" and use up my scraps. I love the community over here at Card Patterns - everyone is not only immensely talented but encouraging and sweet. I'm so glad to be able to share my creations here and look forward to being inspired by your works of art!
Since we have so many new participants, may I reintroduce the older members of the team whom I've asked to have a permanent position on the team and I'm grateful that they agreed!

My name is Tracy Schultz. I'm married to a wonderful man named Mike and we live in western New York state. We have one crazy cockatiel named Kiwi and a school of fish that we call our own. I work as an IT Specialist by day and love to craft by night. I've been making cards for almost two years now. I enjoy the friendships I've made through crafting and blogging. And I especially LOVE the sense of community and inspiration found here on Card Patterns. I'm grateful to Michelle for the opportunity to stay on here at CP and grateful to YOU, our participants, who make this all possible for us.

My name is Nina and I'm a Filipino-American now living in beautiful Croatia. I'm married to a wonderful man and mom to three sweet girls. I'm new in the craft blogging community and have enjoyed making friends and participating in different challenges, Card Patterns being one of my favorites. I never knew I had an artistic side until a friend gave me a box of supplies as a going away gift when my hubby and I moved to Croatia. As soon as I opened that box, I started a love affair with cardmaking. Just recently, I'm excited that one of my dreams has come true - to become a stamp illustrator and paper designer. I am a stamp designer/illustrator for Gina K Designs. God has blessed me beyond my expectations and for that I am eternally grateful.

Administrator/Sketches

I’m a 35 y/o full time consultant in an Oil & Gas industry by day and a boo boo kisser, diaper changer, Darth Vader by night or whatever my 2 boys’ imagination takes me. When they’re in bed & I’m not dead (:P), I let my imagination take me away by crafting. I enjoy sewing, painting, paper crafting, and doing part-time illustration for Unity Stamp Company. Although I often get inspired by many talented designers, I follow what my heart desires the most as I do not like to feel constrained by a specific style.

You will also be seeing more of Tracy and Nina posting on the blog. And since both of them are stamp illustrator/artists, they will also be contributing on sketches. How fun!

We look forward to your participation on Saturday for our Sketch 46. We can't wait to show you what this new team has come up with!

Thanks for checking in on us!
