Sketch 83

Happy Saturday to all of you!

After several weeks of rain and overcast weather here in Alberta, Canada, we are finally seeing the silver lining. It's a beautiful high of 20C/68F here in Alberta, Canada and for the rest of the week. I hope the weather is great at your side of the world too!

Let's get on to our 83rd Sketch. Hope you'll like it!

This week, we are sponsored by once again DRS Design.

DRS Designs - is a family owned company since 1950 boasts hundreds of original rubber stamp designs. All images are available fully mounted, completely unmounted or mounted on cling cushion and are proudly hand crafted in the USA. Our rubber stamp collection includes a wide assortment of images including tons of sentiments, easy background designs and fun technique stamps such as our stained glass and plaid designs.

The DRS Designs website features a huge card sample gallery, online demos and tips, a secure shopping area and information on our free club, Rubber Mania Monthly. Be sure to visit our daily blog with posts from our
fantastic design team for inspiration and ideas.

Only for Card Patterns' participants, DRS is giving away $15.00 gift certificate to one lucky random winner.

And to share our sketch today is our Guest Designer for this week. Please join us in welcoming  Semsee. You can click on her name below and spread the love!

Getting to know Semsee:
Hello! My name is Simonne, but I'm more commonly known as Sem or SemSee in the blogging world.  I'm a SAHM to our wonderful 9 yr old daughter.  I bought my very first stamp in December 2008 and since then I've become hooked! I am currently on the DT for 4 different rubber stamp companies, and feel truly honoured and blessed to be able to create for them. Making cards is my main focus, although I love to dabble in gift boxes and altered items from time to time.  I love my Copics, my favourite technique is paper piecing, and I just couldn't craft without my flatback pearls!  I am so excited to be a guest designer for Card Patterns - thank you for having me!

Here are the team's interpretation of the sketch. Remember, you don't have to be tied up to a shape that is in the sketch. You ca always flip it or rotate it.

  1. I am not sure where to put this comment - I just want to thank Jennifer, Samantha, and everyone else involved for providing and sponsoring these great challenges! Thanks also for the assist with selecting a prize (from a few weeks ago.) It was here yesterday - we are going to be traveling for a while, but I will be anxious to try out these cute new stamps when I have a chance.
