Good morning friends! It's a cold, snowy day here in New York. I hope it's warm where you are!

It's time for sketch 52, so let's get to it.

Michelle has a great sketch drawn up for you. Rotate it, switch out some of the shapes, but most of all- have fun with it!

Our design team was generously sponsored by PaperWorks Co:

"PaperWorks Co (fondly known as PWCO) is a online scrapbooking and rubberstamping supplies store based in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. Besides carrying an array of supplies (think Copics, Nesties, Cuttlebug, etc), we have recently branched out to include our own line of line of deeply etched rubber stamps. Our in-house Design Team consists of a bunch of SUPER talented ladies from US and Canada, and you can find their work at our blog. Make sure to check them out!"

The prize: A gift certificate value of $39.99 to redeem any of PWCO and Little Loud stamps. [The winner can mix and match whatever stamps she like, as long as the value does not exceed $39.99.]

Our guest designer this week is:
Hello, My name is Kathy and I’m so thrilled and honored to play along with Card Patterns. I have been a rubber stamping addict for over a year and I have always had the love to color anything. Once I discovered Hero Arts stamps, blog & their Flickr group there was no turning back. CP blog is a regular stop for me because I have found that having a sketch can save lots of time and I love the weekly inspiration! Currently I’m on a few digital design teams and just joined SRM stickers design team. I have been married for 19 years and we have a 14 yr old daughter & an 18 yr old son. They keep me hopping mostly in the kitchen. Thanks again for letting me play along with you!

And Kathy's amazing card using this week's sketch:

And now onto our DT's cards, starting with:

Hello, Card Patterns friends...We have a great sketch for you this week, just in time for Valentine's day. But, as you will see with the DT samples below, you can use other shapes instead of the hearts.

Trace from Stamping Boutique also joined us this week with this bright and cheerful card:

And our Guest DT this week:
Getting to know Saida:

Hi! My name is Saida, I’m from Russia. First of all, I’d like to thank you! I’m very pleased to be a guest designer here at CardPatterns! I’ve been creating things as far back as I can remember. Just a year ago I tried my hand at cardmaking and scrapbooking. And eventually they turned out to be among the most addicted passions of mine and filled my routine with so many things I truly enjoy now. I learn new things and skills, I meet lovely talented people, I have a blog, and a few more on-line projects, and one of them is my recently opened on-line fabric flower shop. Being an avid photographer, I love searching for the perfect way to display my projects, experimenting with backgrounds. Well, so many of my interests compliment each other so perfectly and I seem to be happy about that)

Ok, here is my take on this fab Love-theme sketch. Actually this is a birthday card, I made it for lovely friend so dear to my heart.

Have fun crafting!

With love, Saida

And just look at her very shabby chic card. I love the lace:

Saida Sadykova

The Stamping Boutique generously provided some adorable images for the DT to use:

Tracey Kuzniak
Yvonne Yam
Lizaveta Danenkova
Nina Brackett

Julia Stainton
Debbie Standard

We hope that we've inspired you to create something based on the sketch and link via Mr. Linky below. Make sure you link directly to your creation. You have until Friday, Feb 19 at 11:59PM EST is the last day of participating for this sketch. We can't wait what you come up with. Have a safe and warm weekend.

Hello fellow crafters! My name is Joni Wilson and I am the owner of Inktegrity. As a mother of 6, I wanted to create images that every age could enjoy working with. This past summer I debuted my line of digital images and have enjoyed every minute of it.
I am inspired by personal experiences, suggestions from friends, and the everyday goodness in life. Please visit our blog at Inktegrity.blogspot.com for wonderful ideas and inspiration.

Please welcome

Christi Milliken
(Stamp Monkey)

Getting to know Christi:
Hi! I'm Christi Milliken {aka "stampmonkey"}, and I'm sooo excited and honored to have been invited to play along with the talented ladies at Card Patterns this week! I love to use sketches as my jumping-off point when making cards, and Card Patterns has some of the best! When I'm not making cards, you can usually find me busy at home with my family...well, half of it. ;) My {very supportive} husband and I have a Brady Bunch family of sorts --six kids...three boys and three girls...in our 'his, hers, and ours' family. The older four college-age kids are all still in California, and the rest of us now call Colorado our home, where I'm blessed to be able to home school "our" two. Growing up with a crafty mom, I've been crafting for as long as I can remember; but when I began making cards about eight years ago, most of my other interests were quickly put on the back burner...where they've pretty much remained. I love that I get to enjoy creating something with my hands and then I can give it away to bless someone else. There's so much inspiration to be found online these days {challenge sites and blogs}, there's just not enough hours in a day to do it all...but that doesn't stop me from trying! ;)

Tons of possibilities on this sketch. You don't have to stick to circles. Remember, a sketch is just a preliminary idea. It's up to you to elaborate it. Let go of your imagination and make it your own. There is no right or wrong with it. The important thing is to have fun with the process (wink wink).

And here's how our team interpreted the sketch.

Lizaveta Danenkova
