Sketch 66

Good morning!
Saturday again - that means brand new sketch!
We thought we'd add a little bit more layer and places for your embellishments on our sketch this week. Hope you'll like it!

We've been fortunate to be able to work with images from Little Paper Shop who is sponsoring us this week. For those of you who are not yet familiar with Little Paper Shop, here's a little info about them.

Little Paper Shop launched their company in April 2008 with 7 sets and 6 individual stamps, most of which are of masculine themes. Since then they have expanded their clear stamp line to include over 70 sets including their most popular {Little Cuties} line! They now stock a variety of digital images as well. LPS stamps are manufactured in the US using only high quality photopolymer. Each set is hand inspected to ensure you are receiving only top quality products.

LPS has been really generous with Card Patterns family - that includes YOU!

LPS will give a $20.00 store credit
to 1 lucky randomly picked winner.

They are also offering a generous
15% discount to all Card Patterns participants.
Simply enter CARD during check out.
Discount offer is valid only from today until June 5, 2010.

On to our Guest Designer for this week. We're excited to introduce you to

 (Always Creating)

Getting to know Ivanka:
Hi, my name is Ivanka and I love to make cards.  And I love ribbon.  I can’t help myself from collecting more.  It’s gotten to the point where I have to sneak it in the house and pretend that I’ve had it for years…at least it’s easy to conceal.  I think I may need a 12 step program!

I’m so excited to have this opportunity to be a Guest Designer here at Card Patterns.  I live in Southern Ontario with my husband Steve, our two daughters Dana and Julia, and our little Schnauzer, Pepper.  I’m an RN and work part time in a busy outpatient clinic.

When I’m not working, doing taxi duty to two teenagers, walking the dog or doing laundry, you can find me happily creating in my new card studio.  It’s like therapy when I can spend time there.

Please click on Ivanka's name above to visit her blog and leave her some love!
Here's Ivanka's take on the sketch.
Two of Little Paper Shop Design Team were able to join us for this sketch:

Sketch 65

Happy Saturday, everyone! I hope you are enjoying warm spring weather, unlike here in Croatia, where it's been cold and rainy the last few days. It's not so bad because it's a good stamping weather for me :-).

We are thrilled to have you join us for another sketch to try this week. But first, our sponsor is PaperWorks Co.
PaperWorks Co (fondly known as PWCO) is a online scrapbooking and rubberstamping supplies store based in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. Besides carrying an array of supplies (think Copics, Nesties, Cuttlebug, etc), we have recently branched out to include our own line of line of deeply etched rubber stamps. Most recently, we invited Rachelle Anne Miller to design a new whimisical line thats exclusive to PWCO. To top that, our in-house Design Team consists of a bunch of SUPER talented ladies from US and Canada, and you can find their work at our blog. Make sure to check them out!

They are offering this VERY generous prize to one random participant, 4 stamp sets from the Rachelle Anne Miller collection, valued at $27.75.

Here is the sketch:

The Guest Designer for this week is my good and talented friend, Michelle Woerner.

"My name is Michelle and I live just outside Portland, Oregon. I am a SAHM of 2 boys, ages 4 and 6, and married for 7 years to my wonderful husband, Bill. I am surrounded every day by dinosaurs, Pokemon and mud -I escape to card making to get my fix of all things girly and frilly! I MUST craft everyday. It truly is my passion. I love the instant gratification of completing a card, and sharing my cards with friends and family.

Oh and a little known secret, I am addicted to card sketches because I literally can't start a card without one - my brain doesn't work that way! So a big shout out to all those who are "sketched" challenged like me and thank goodness for challenge blogs like Card Patterns!"

And look at what she created! Wow, it's just beautiful.

Here's the Card Patterns Crew's take on the sketch:

"

The Prize:
GinaK Designs is offering up this wonderful prize pack to one random participant this week!

The Sketch:
Remember, you can always flip or rotate elements of the sketch. Just be sure to have fun with it!

The Guest Designer:

We're lucky to be joined today by the very talented Jacqueline de Groot.

Here's a little more about Jacqueline:

"My name is Jacqueline and I live in the South of France with DH and four sons. I am not French, I am English.

I started card-making years ago because I couldn't find the cards I liked in the local shops in France, to send to friends and family back home! They were also so expensive so I decided to make my own. That's when I gradually got interested in rubber stamps. I absolutely love the vintage style and colors and made the cards I would have loved to have found in the shops. I still love card-making and have a blog which keeps me in contact with lovely people on the Internet who craft as their hobby."

And here is Jacqueline's wonderful take on this week's sketch:

The Design Team:

Lastly, we hope you will be inspired by our design team's take on the sketch this week, starting with two very talented guests from the Gina K design team.

Don't forget, to play along simply create something based upon this sketch. Then come back and link up your creation using the Mr. Linky box below. Please post a direct link only.
