Getting to know Maureen:
I'm a St. Patrick's Day baby, living in Beautiful British Columbia, Canada.  I teach Grade 2 full time, am a new wife to Tony and a proud mom to Jake, who graduates this year from Civil Engineering. I started making cards in the 90's (back when heat embossing was the only fancy thing one did on cards), was introduced to Stampin' Up! in 2004, and had my first card blog sighting in 2008.  Then I was really hooked again.  I started my blog in July 2009 so I could participate in Verve Stamps 2nd Anniversary and have never looked back!!  I love the creative outlet card making gives me as well as the community of fabulous cardmakers.   It is an honour to be Guest Designer this week for the Card Patterns sketch.

You can click Maureen's name above to visit her blog and get inspired by her creativity.

You can go visit her Etsy shop HERE.

One lucky random participant will receive 10 yards of Shabby Vintage Seams from her Etsy Shop. Yay!

Today we are also joined by our Guest Designer, Tina all the way from Australia!

(Scissors, Paper Card)

Getting to know Tina:
Hi from Australia!  My name is Tina and I am very excited to have been invited to be a Guest Designer at Card Patterns.  I have been paper crafting for almost 2 years, but I have always been interested in all kinds of crafts.  I also enjoy knitting, cross stitch and sewing.  I just wish I had more time to do all the crafts I love!  I am a stay at home mum with 3 young children, but before that I was a school teacher.

I taught music, business studies, accounting and legal studies to secondary students.  I keep very busy during the day as my youngest child has mulitple disabilities, and so I spend my evenings papercrafting.  I have found it to be a very theraputic way of winding down and releasing the stress of my days. I tend to have a clean and simple style in my papercrafting, but every now and then I like to go all out and force myself to use up some of the pretty things that I hoard because they are too pretty to use.

To visit Tina's blog, simply click on her name above.

Sketch 86

Good day!

Here's our 86th sketch we cooked up for you. A little on the symmetrical style, balanced and whether or not you add a bit of elements here & there, it will be pleasing to the eye. Hope you like it!

Look who's back to sponsor us this week? The team's been generously given the wonderful rubber stamps to play with by Prickley Pear Rubber Stamps.

Prickley Pear Rubber Stamps - a two woman company comprised by Nicole La Cour, Founder and Creative Director and Mary Boesel, COO. Established in 2002, PPRS boasts hundreds of original red rubber stamp designs and has just recently started to manufacture clear stamps and coordinating dies. Our stamp collection includes a wide variety of sentiments, collage and background images and beautiful, whimsy stamps.

Be sure to visit the PPRS blog which features weekly projects, techniques and tutorials blog hops and more!

PPRS' generosity is not just for our team, but it extends to our Card Patterns participants. One (1) lucky randomly picked participant will receive:

Wow, that's a great way to start your PPRS collection! You won't be dissapointed.

We're happy to introduced you to our talented Gust Designer. Please welcome...

(Made in a Muddle)

Here's a little info about Fiona:

My name is Fiona, I have been making cards now for over 10 years, although some of my earliest efforts left a lot to be desired!  I got hooked when I discovered a craft shop near my home and saw some of the fantastic creations that could be made with paper and stamps.  My craft stash has grown over the years and with it, my creative ability and confidence.  Although I prefer to mainly stamp and make cards, I have made the odd altered item too.  I started my blog 'Made in a Muddle' a year ago, aptly named as my craft room usually looks like a bomb has gone off, I am not a tidy crafter!
I work full-time as a Flight Despatcher at one of the London airports which can be very demanding and stressful at times, so crafting is a great way to unwind on my days off.
I am so pleased to have been invited as a guest designer. " Thank you Card Patterns"

And here are our team's interpretation of the sketch. We are also joined by PPRS Designer Michelle Pearson and Amy Ely.
