Sketch 109

Hello dear friends! It's Saturday, that means a brand new sketch - brought to you by our very own Nina Brackett. Isn't this sketch fabulous?!

Our fabulous sponsor Catherine Pooler is back!

Getting to know Gayatri:
My name is Gayatri Murali I live in a small gold mining town in Australia called Kalgoorlie, with my husband of 13 years and two children. I am an Australian but of Indian Origin. I love craft and as a young girl. I have done many crafts including tin embossing, embroidery, jewellery making, making stuff toys, cross stitching.... After moving to Australia, I was introduced to scrapbooking. I saw all the gorgeous pattern papers at a scrapbooking shop and got interested in it. I was a scrapbooker initially until I started making cards using left over pattern papers. Then slowly became a stamper and a full fledged card maker now. Love scrapbooking and cardmaking.I spend most of my free time making cards. My style is eclectic. It depends on my mood and time I have to make a card. At the moment I love anything vintage and shabby chic because of the colors and the use layers and various elements on the card. I don't mind trying new techniques or styles. Thats the reason I don't have a particular style. I love sketches. It amazes me every time to see how different a card turns out using the same sketch but different styles. If I am not stamping and making cards, you can find me gardening.

This is Gayatri's take on the sketch.

And
, we're joined by another guest designer this week. Let me introduce

Getting to know Elise:
Elise has been avidly crafting for the past decade. With a lifetime of creative pursuits fueling her passion, her foundation is in Fine Art. She earned a degree in Art Studio from the University of California, Davis, and continues to paint and draw, in addition to paper craft. Completely transformed by the Blog-World, Elise's joy has been increased, exponentially, by participating in craft challenges, publication calls, design team cooperation and friendships, cemented from the common experience of "Blog." When she isn't playing with all things paper, ink and embellishment, she's joyfully married to the love of her life, always inspired and smitten by her two babies {okay, they are 10 & 13 years young - but to a mother: ALWAYS babies!}, then, there's the four legged babies - horses, dogs, cat & one truly ancient cow... Living "ranch life" in Sonoma County, California, the culmination of her life's dream, feels pretty darn good. Mix in paper play - Life is EXCELLENT! "I'm so honored to be designing with Card Patterns this week! These sketches are the foundations of SO many of my favorite cards - it's just a place of unlimited inspiration! I hope I can help share the mojo and fun that is Card Patterns!"

And here is Elsie's take on the sketch:

And here are the team's interpretation of the sketch.
