Getting to know Lori:
Hi, My name is Lori and I am a happy fun loving Southern girl who lives in Western North Carolina. I’m blessed to have two precious little boys who are the light of my life. They are so much fun. I also am really lucky to live next door to my best friend and sister who is also adores paper crafting. The two of us are a dangerous pair at a scrap expo that’s for sure. I’m truly am in love with my family and God and feel so blessed everyday to have been given this great life. I’ve always enjoyed crafting and have been involved in the arts in one form or another…I started with pottery in highschool, moved to metal in college and then switched to papercrafting 10 years ago when my first son was born. I still love to incorporate metal and other mediums into my papercrafting every chance I can get. I’ve really pushed myself in the last year to take my paper to the next level and have come so far. I’m all about trying new techniques and staying up on the latest craze in the papercrafting world. I really view my craft as my passion, hobby and therapy and can’t imagine it not being part of my life.

Look at Lori's beautiful take on the sketch! Don't you adore those dimensions of the leaves?

And, our 2nd guest designer for this week is...

Sabrina Sulaiman: Sabrina Scrapbook

Getting to Know Sabrina:
Hi I’m Sabrina, from Malaysia. Have been living and working in Singapore since 2007 and will be back for good to Malaysia any time soon. I think, paper crafting is the cheapest therapy. I have been filling my past time by cutting and pasting papers since I was in primary school. In fact, I have developed many scrapbooks since then to preserve my memories of life. I started card making in 2010, after blogging about scrapbooking. I am not exactly into techniques but I do love creating layers in my projects. I also love white and bright colors. I think by now, I can confess that I am a card-making enthusiast and I would love to design and play with papers forever. For more of my creations, please visit me at
http://sabrinascrapbook.blogspot.com.

Here is Sabrina's elegant take on the sketch. I love the pop of purple she added.

Alas, the interpretation of the team - who I personally think just rocked this sketch.

Sketch 138

I hope you're staying warm wherever it is you're reading this from! We are having a cold spell here in western New York and I am ready to snuggle up in my studio with a cup of hot chocolate and create.

Catherine Pooler has been a Stampin’ Up demonstrator for almost 8 years. Her favorite Stampin’ Up products are the punches and anything in coordinating colors such as the ink, cardstock and patterned paper! That safely covers most things in the SU catalog! ;)
One random participant this week will win Stampin' Up's Birthday Party Rub-ons!

My name is Berdien Weideveld, 39 years old, married to William and together we have two beautiful daughters Celine and Kyara. We live in a beautiful small village called Bemmel in the Netherlands.

My creative talents I inherited from my mother. When I was little, we were always together on crafting. And now I do the same with my own daughters. About 8 years ago I saw scrapbooking in a magazine and I was hooked immediately ! My daughters are almost always the subject of my layouts and my mini-books. I love many different styles. At the moment the vintage style is my favorite. I like to use stamps, distress-ink and glimmermist on my layouts and cards.

I am very proud to be this week's guest-designer and have enjoyed working on this sketch !! I wish you a lot of fun with this beautiful sketch too !!

And here is Berdien's gorgeous take on the sketch:

Sketch 137

Yes...Sparkle is her real name. She has been crafting since she was a child, but seriously started crafting when she was 16. Sparkle started as a scrapbooker, though over the years she has turned into a cardmaker. Brent (Sparkle's husband) and Sparkleopened  SparkleCreations Rubber Stamps in July 2010, and they are selling cute and whimsical rubber stamps of little boy and girl images. Aki, their wonderful artist, has done a great job at making their characters come alive and have their own personalities.

One randomly picked winner will receive Fall Charlotte and Farming Oliver stamps.
Hi, I'm Jeanne Jachna.  I'm a married, stay at home mom of two teenagers, and one very large Akita.  I have been interested in the arts for as long as I can remember and have tried everything from pottery and leaded glass to jewelry making and candlewicking.  I love to try new techniques and can't resist bling, big bows and colorful paper.   I like to scrapbook memories and make mini albums as gifts for family and friends who've joined our adventures, but card making has captivated me completely.    I started my blog A Kept Life in May of this year to take my creativity digital.  I have been impressed by the talented designers I've come accross, and touched by the kindness of new friends I've met through blogging. I'm honored and delighted to be the guest designer this week for Card Patterns.

Let's take a look at her beautiful take on this week's sketch.
