Sketch 145 Super 6

Wow, what gorgeous entries we had last week!
THANK YOU from the bottom of our hearts!

Our current DT, Kristii, Tesa, Carla and Nina will be dearly missed!
A big thank you to them as well for all their hard work, their friendship and of course, their talent that they shared with us for the past 6 months and for the past 2 years with Nina. They've been fabulous and although we know that they won't be strangers to us, bidding them farewell as part of the team is always so hard.

On a lighter note, we are excited to announce the new DT's that we handpicked soon so please stay tuned!

We'd also like to take this opportunity before we take a little holiday to thank our sponsors for this year 2011. They have been wonderful & generous to us and our participants and we are so grateful for them.

Sketch 146

We have two bits of news/announcements to take care of before we get to the sketch today:

1)This will be our last sketch until after the new year. We're taking a little holiday so everyone can enjoy some time with their families. As such, you'll have extra time to complete cards for this sketch!

2)Because of that, this is our last sketch our current design team will be joining us in. Please send Carla, Elise, Kristii, and Tesa good wishes. You have all been wonderful to work with and Michelle and I are going to miss having you on the team!

Also, just a quite note, to those who participate in multiple challenges: your creation can be linked to as many other challenges as you like. But we ask that Card Patterns be the only sketch challenge. Creations that fail to follow this guideline will be removed from inlinkz. Thank you for your understanding!

Catherine Pooler has been a Stampin’ Up demonstrator for almost 8 years. Her favorite Stampin’ Up products are the punches and anything in coordinating colors such as the ink, cardstock and patterned paper! That safely covers most things in the SU catalog! ;)

Jinny Newlin: Soaring
I am a former, kindergarten teacher turned stay-at-home, home school mom to a smart, spunky, eight-year-old Ezekiel and vocal, tenacious, three-year-old Adina. I live, with my husband, BJ, and my two children, in Kansas City, Kansas, just over an hour and half north of where I grew up. When I’m not taking care of or playing with my family, you can find me cooking, baking, gardening, camping, sewing, and of course, paper crafting. My love for the latter started, over ten years ago, at a Stampin’ Up workshop, but my love for creating began before birth. You can find me blogging at Soaring, designing for Wplus9 Design, and contributing to both The Play Date CafĆ© Color Challenge and Sketches in Thyme Scrap Challenge. And I’m beyond thrilled to be joining the talented likes of the Card Patterns team this week!

And here is Jinny's lovely take on the sketch this week:

Sketch 144

We would like to wish farewell to a very special team member today: Nina Brackett has decided to step away from Card Patterns to spend more time with her family. Nina has been a wonderful friend to Michelle and I and will be greatly missed. Her creativity inspires so many people here at Card Patterns. We will miss you Nina!

I have loved papercrafting for as long as I can remember (since preschool, really!) My Craft Spot started out as a place to share my ideas through pictures and video tutorials. Then I discovered Scrunched Seam Binding! I started hand dyeing the seam binding and now I have over 30 beautiful colors in my store! (I think I am addicted! LOL!) I also have 28 yummy colors of Bakers Twine, including a great new Halloween twist, Twinery Twine, Trendy Twine (3 colors twisted together!), Traditional twine and my own hand dyed Vintage Twine! A few months ago I started my own line of High Quality Photopolymer Stamps! I now have 8 sets including a Fall set and 2 cute Halloween sets just released in August. Come visit My Craft Spot for lots of ideas and inspiration, videos and weekly challenges with prizes!

Shipping is always FREE at My Craft Spot within the US and Canada and only $5.00 outside the US and Canada!

The prize this week for one random participant is "Every color from the Twinery" baker's twine pack (14 different colors, 10 yards each).
