Christine Penaflor: Creative Journey

I love creating with paper and embellishments! I have enjoyed this type of creative outlet for the past seven years which began when I was first introduced to stamping by a relative. When I discovered patterned papers and scrapbooking, I began a new journey creating with paper! However, card making will always be my first love because it takes a lot less time finishing a card than a scrapbooking layout for me! I have served on different DT’s in the past three years and have had some of my work published in CARDS, Scrapbook Trends, and Paper Crafts.

I have been married to my high-school sweetheart for twenty-one lovely years and am blessed to be a full-time mom to five children whom I love with all my heart. Our family also has the privilege of owning and managing a scrapbooking retreat house in Southern California called The Scrap Retreat House. If any of you ever want to spend a weekend away with your friends to focus on creating scrapbooking pages, albums, or paper crafting projects, consider being our guests for a 3-day weekend retreat!

I am so honored to be a Guest Designer for CardPatterns this week, and I hope you enjoy creating a project with this week’s sketch as much as I did!

And here is Christine's gorgeous take on the sketch:

  6. I just uploaded my entry for the sketch challenge 151 this week, and I apologize, but I don't know how to get the picture of the original sketch onto my blog. Can anyone help me with that? I have just put the URL. BTW, I love this sketch. it is so simple and elegant.
